VAN LIFE | Five Days No Food
Last month, I attempted something new. A five day water fast in the desert. No food, no coffee. Just water.
Why did I do this? Well, there are a lot of health benefits associated with fasting. But even more appealing to me- was the sheer mental challenge of going five days without eating. I’m a rebel in a lot of ways - I like to live differently, I like to prove people wrong, I like to challenge authority and social norms and question why we do the things we do. And with marketing and advertising and constant campaigns telling us we need this and that when it comes to food - I just feel like there’s more to it. I think our bodies are more capable than we give them credit for. Our minds too. So, that’s how I ended up taking on this challenge - and I figured I’d document it for fun. Honestly I’m glad I did because by day 5, if it weren’t for recording the process - I might have thrown in the towel!
